Konflict was kemal and rob data but the name was only to be used under Renegade Hardware production as it was created by the tov group... when they left the tov group the two were by contract bound to not use it anymore.. and bla bla bla the rest is history but now you guys know...........

Kemal's still making tracks. Rob Data's in college I think, I read some rumour that he might be coming back. But don't count on it. They should be happy enough that people are still talking about them, they haven't been together for quite some time. :P

Renegade Hardware is notorious for extreme artist exclusivity.
If you're ever "lucky" enough to get a track released with them, make sure you check your exclusivity agreement top to bottom.
Often they won't even let their artists release tracks on other labels, even if its a tune they turned down.
The politics between UK labels and their artists can get extremely brutal, especially if its with an up and comer like Konflict was at the turn of the century.

apparently kemal is now more into the dark breaks scene. making mostly downtempo stuff, but his next release will be 'stranded' by kemal & BSE on oBSEssions 002 (flipside of 'centepod' by noisia, pacific & mayhem)...

other than that tune i havent heard anything else forthcoming from Mr Okan. i just wish 'effing hostile' would get a release. i originally thought it was not coming out due to licensing issues with the Pantera samples but apparently he just doesnt want to ever release it for reasons only he probably knows. a release of 'lost souls' would be nice too but i think the same applies with that tune too...... unfortunately.

lol,i knew it was going to come up,to put it in a nutshell,konflict gave me a tune to put out called messiah,we had a gentlemens agreement that was going to release on my forthcoming hardware lp and at the last minute they reneged on the agreement so me and my partner sat down with them had a meeting to try and iron out the situation,the meeting came to no avail,so we had to deal with it in our own way,people have got to understand,i am a fair person but if i think you are taking me for a punk then be prepared to deal with things on a street level,sometimes to goes like that i am not proud of what happened but the way i grew up thats the way it goes sometimes
