This is prety cool to read. I have another book by Simon Reynolds (Generation Ecstacy) and I found it difficult to read when he was describing all these new sounds. It's like describing color to the blind I guess. What I wish came with the book was a cd to hear the particular sample or sound he was talking about.

But this little bit is a really good read.
Do any of you agree? Do you think this is why we aren't all huggy at every show I see you at?

What draws you to TechStep? Tired of the fake happiness?
We live in Seattle for god's sake. If ever was a soundtrack to the grey days, dark techstep would defenitly run the score (and probably RadioHead or something depressing like that).
