:::CURRENT::: a boat party:: July 25

    Featuring DJs:

    Psykofly

Psykofly is a true veteran of the D.C. Drum & Bass Scene...Psykofly has been producing about as long as he has been partying... 13Years, and spinning for about 11. He has held residencies at several metro area D&B parties including the legendary Players Ball, Octane and The Winternett Kru's Sankofa & Zion and is currently a resident at Konkrete jungle D.C and the sunday night DnB radio show Dirtboxradio.. Always bringing serious heat to the dance floorwith his 'Box O' Dope Ammo', Psykofly uses an arsenal of hard &dark dubs, and whatever fresh vinyl he happens to come across. That combined with a hard driven technical mixing style makes Psykofly a very dangerous man.

    Lantern

DJ Lantern has been playing for over half a decade. Raised in Northern Virginia he’s risen to the top of the D.C./Baltimore club circuit. Having a number of high profile gigs, he has gained much respect in the local surrounding DC area. A master of mixed genres, his best skills are displayed in Breaks and Hard House - but has been caught playing just about every other genre in the EDM dictionary. Lantern is currently holding residency in DC @ Essential Breaks (Club Five) and in VA @ Transit, where he has been pushing the nu-school funk sound of breaks and has been getting more than a flavorable reaction from the dance floor.

    Evolution CQ

Evolution CQ AKA David Alexander has been involved in the underground music scene since 1993. Dancing at parties in Central Florida to the Northwest, David has watched the scene grow from coast to coast. In 2000, with a little help from his friends, ECQ was born. ECQ has urbanized his skills behind the decks making him one of the best up and coming DJs on the West Coast by playing his unique style of funky electro breaks and hard hitting bass along with his stage presence and MC abilities.

    Haaps

A staple breakbeat DJ on both the West and East Coasts, DJ Haaps career had humble beginnings blending sounds from a CD player and a belt drive turntable using a radio shack mixer. Haaps quickly developed a love for the deep bass lines and choppy nature of breakbeat, finding himself drawn to the crossfader tricks possible with the genre. While Haaps has grown to appreciate most of the many subgenres of electronic music, he continues to focus on bringing his flavor of exceptional breaks and d&b around the U.S., and recently the world. 2005 included a tour around the world, including shows at the world renowned Full Moon beach party in Thailand; NAPT & MJ Cole-run night, Prolific, at Herbal in London; and multiple D&B shows in Barcelona.

    Rob Cravens

Holding it down at Broken Grooves (longest running Breakbeat weekly in the nation) for the last several years, Rob is a key player in the NW Breaks scene. He's got the cuts that make you want to...

    Marc(O)

All you need to know about Marc(O) in a nutshell: he is equal parts dirty fuckin' beats & booty shakin' basslines. His watch is permanently set to 4:20. He doesn't wear his sunglasses at night because they wouldn't sit right on his corrective frames. He likes a heaping portion of funk with his tech. He also enjoys B33R:30 almost as much as 4:20. Ladies...he makes a wicked marinara, so he's sort of domesticated, but we all still think of him as a wild animal. Rocks adidas *never* rock FILA. His motto: "If the shit fits, WEAR IT!"

    Diem

Professionally dj'ing for over 14 years, diem plays an impressive collection of beats and rhythms. Currently in Seattle, he has played throughout North America, and is about to go on tour in Costa Rica in early 2008. His sound he defines as "hardtribaldisco", a blend of tribal Latin rhythms, hard funk, house beats, breaks, and layered evil disco. Often seen wearing his trademark bunny ears, he is known for dancing behind the decks, pumping his fist, and often joining the crowd. Recent additions to his repertoire have been his playing of live PA performances as well as professional photography, recently featured on The Beehive’s latest EP.

    Tearle

Moving from Seattle, and now a Miami resident and DJ for the past 6 years; T-Real has comfortably made this locale his stomping ground by DJing outdoor parties at the base of Mt. Hood to DJing to crowded floors in Seattle's top clubs and swankiest of restaurant/lounges. Tearle has DJ’ed for such venues as Last Supper Club, Mantra, Contour, Bonzai Bistro, Axis, Toi, and Nectar. Under his belt, he also has notable parties like "Housewarming," "GeT SAKe'D/ Naked Sushi," and "Nightcap". He can be found combing the streets of Miami and south beach, with his funky soulful sound!
With the recent launch of Undertones, you will most likely see Tearle dedicated to the studio, and to the production of his music. Watch for these upcoming house releases that are sure to develop Undertones "sound" nationally! circa 2004 by cheresa nemitz

    Twist

Twist has developed a style that sets him apart from the fold. By early 2000 he was determined to refine his skills with the goal of moving the masses paramount in his mind. His first few mix compilations, "Dining Room Sessions I & II" and "Break-Thru" were soon passing from hand to hand and word of his abilities began to spread in the grass roots fashion that has become so synonymous with the scene. In early 2003 the releases of "Shaken Not Stirred" and "Universal Vibration" hit the EDM world by storm and a string of performances have followed across DC, MD, VA and PA to include Nation, The Edge, DC Tunnel, Insomnia, XM Satellite and Live 365 among many others.

    Sean Infinitee

Sean eventually found his niche playing Nu-Skool breakbeat, and achieved his career defining moment when he won the Breaks FM International DJ Competition and played along side the likes of; Jay Cunning, Atomic Hooligan, The Autobots, The Lawgiverz, Phil Hartnoll, and more at the “Esparrago Rock Festival” in Spain in July, 2003. After proving his worth on the decks, he was offered a spot on the renowned internet radio station, and became the first U.S. breaks DJ to host a weekly show on Breaks FM. Since then, his show called "Thee Tilt! Sessions" has become known as one of Breaks FM's premier shows, with past live guests including The Autobots, NAPT, The Carbon Community, Fine Cut Bodies, Influenza, High Eight, Cause ‘N FX, Kraddy, and more.

    Sess

Dirty baseline's and nasty breaks, is what DJ Sess thrives on! New to the D.C., Baltimore, V.A. scene as a DJ. Sess has played at Transit, XS, Shorty's, only more are to come! What sparks a lot of interest to others about Sess, is his producing skills. Sess has been producing all types of EDM for 10yrs. His main style of EDM production are the Breaks! He has worked with several local and international artist such as, DJ Haaps, DJ Melo, Breakbeat Logik, Root Master, Pilar and punk band Idle Minds. Currently two projects are Sess's main focus which are Stratara ( www.myspace.com/stratara) and the HnS project (Haaps and Sess). The future holds no bounderies for DJ Sess, and if there are he will break em.

    Stacy Alan

A veteran of the Northwest D&B and Breaks scenes, Stacy Alan is known well for his high energy sets featuring only the tastiest of cuts and the hottest turntablism skills. One thing is for sure, the funk that this guy brings to the club is understated to say the least. Dominating battles and sending sucka DJ's back to their bedrooms for more practice is just what he does.

    MC Pupil

With a bit of satire and a strong sense of meter Pupil expertly uses literary devices such as rhyme-scheme, assonance and alliteration with skill to give the dancers something they can move to while planting seeds in the minds of those willing to dig a bit deeper. Though he prides himself on content his delivery is known to be equally as smooth, harboring seasoned and seductive vocal tones you might not expect. Even those not usually fond of emcees classify his performances as entertaining and well balanced with the music. Pupil’s natural poetic talents have won him international publication and his abilities to seamlessly bounce between Hip-Hop, D&B and Breaks and Dubstep have secured him places on stage alongside world-renowned talent such as Ming & FS, DJ Dara, UFO, Dieselboy, AK1200 and more!
